Star Trek, the reboot, was at best, a bold gamble by J. J. Abrams & Co. If they screwed the pooch on this, the wrath of the rabid Trekkies (like me) would descend on their collective hides like the Borg Cube at Wolf 359.

Call of Duty 5 : World at War (CoD5) is one of those frustrating games where there are a lot of things to like, a few brilliant executions, but somehow due to some dodgy design decisions, the game isn't all that it can be.

Television viewers are generally a docile bunch, at the given time, they will meekly go and sit in front of the Television, faces raised, eyes bright and a loose grin on their faces. A few have known to drool, but that is purely unsubstantiated.

More than any movie this year, even more than The Dark Knight, I had high expectations for Quantum of Solace. Casino Royale blew me away and I wanted more of that Bond.

Anyone expecting Call of Duty 5 to be a squeal to Call of Duty 4 :Modern Warfare were disappointed when Treyarch announced that COD5 would go back once again to WWII. Treyarch already has experience with developing COD squeals so they aren't quite strangers to the franchise.

In 2001 a rare atmospheric game came out that paid homage to film noirs, John Woo and unusually for a game had an excellent plot. The game was named after the tormented character Max Payne, and his troubled monologue kept the story moving until the explosive end.

Four episodes into the 2nd season, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has seemingly found it's North Star and is steering in the right direction, barring a few squalls and some impatient studio executives, it should prove to be a good season.

Eagle Eyes is a perfect fix at a time when we are caught in the doldrums between block-buster seasons of summer and the holiday season. Hollywood did extremely well this summer with the likes of Dark Knight, Iron Man and The Hulk - all of them from various comic franchise.

The gold of Hellboy 2 : The Golden Army wears thin very quickly despite the fact that I liked Hellboy (2004). In fact I liked it a lot, and casting Ron Perlman as Hellboy was a genius move by Guillermo del Toro.

The hype is on. People are lined up in front of Apple's swanky New York store. Some are already calling it a successful launch. The internet is abuzz, at least for blogs and sites that care about such things. But not everyone is excited about the iPhone 3G launch.

Righteous butt kicking is what is promised by The Incredible Hulk and this time it delivers in spades. I am not a fan of the Hulk comics but I am glad I went to see this movie, because at the least it is a great action movie, at the most, as a superhero movie, it simply rocks.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull (Indy 4) could easily have been called Indiana Jones and the Ode to the First Three Movies and I still would have happily gone and seen it. There are so many nods – from characters, items, dialogs, situations.
